Lucas Software Solutions have
a wealth of design and coding experience, we have designed a number
of systems for small businesses who need more than any 'off the
shelf' package could do.
ARRIVA 'The Shires' - The Bus Scheduling
System. Most people in this country have been on an ARRIVA vehicle
at some time or other, ever wondered how on earth they manage the
journeys, drivers and timetables - there are thousands of permutations
and possibilities which the system helps the scheduler make sense
of. It is a distributed system with installations in most local
bus depots and garages, most timetables you see will be the result
of the LSS scheduling system! (don't blame me if they are late or
all turn up at the same time….) Technically speaking - written in
Visual Basic with MS Access database and Crystal reporting.
BSMA - British Secondary Metals
Association. We designed a membership registration system with statistical
gathering (with unique security measures) and information archiving
for members who needed to keep up to date with current government
legislation.
Honda Motor Europe - CD-ROM based
manuals. Technically speaking - written in Visual Basic with MS MediaView
(the product used to create Microsoft Encarta) for searching and
page formatting.
Alroy Sheet Metals - A rewrite
of an inadequate system to handle manufacturing order processing,
invoice/quote/purchase order printing and timesheet monitoring.
